It is with profound shock and sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Janice Meilleur MacCharles (née Shott) on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at the age of 67.
Born in Winnipeg, Janice was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, and cherished sister whose warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched everyone she met. She brought light and laughter into the lives of her family and friends, creating a legacy of love, compassion, and joyful memories that will live on in all who knew her.
Janice will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband of many years, Stephen; her daughters, Jacqueline, Renee, and Chantal; her cherished grandchildren, Skye, Aidan, Julia, Nikolas, Jakob, and Nathaniel; and her precious great-grandchildren, Wynter and Pryce. She is also survived by her sisters, Deborah and Kimberly, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
A Celebration of Janice’s Life will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. at the Dakota Community Centre, 1188 Dakota Street, Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Janice’s memory to Cancer Care Manitoba.
